Solgerd Isalv is an interesting young Swedish mezzo-soprano and actress, known for her broad knowledge and praised for her beautiful timbre and remarkable stage presence.
As a student in acting as well as lied and opera perfomance she received numerous grants while studying singing and acting at the Academy of Music and Drama at Gothenburg University as well as on the School of Music Piteå, University of Technology in Luleå.
Highlights among her roles on the operatic stage include Lucretia, Olga, Carmen and Cherubino. As a concert soloist she has often sung the Christmas Oratorio by J.S. Bach and W.A. Mozart’s Requiem, among many other works.
Currently Solgerd Isalv is a member of the fest ensemble at the State Opera in Nuremberg, where she also resides.
