Is it real?
That’s the motto of Staatstheater Darmstadt for this new season, which has just kicked off.
Since I’ve been notoriously bad at updating my homepage over the past few years (and let’s be honest, that probably won’t change any time soon ), the best way to keep up with me is on Instagram — that’s where you’ll find the latest updates, plus some behind-the-scenes glimpses. I do my best to keep my calendar here current, but juggling multiple platforms is clearly not my strong suit!
The season begins with a series of revivals (Don Quichotte, Don Giovanni, La Cenerentola), and then October brings some really exciting concerts:
I’m thrilled to sing Margret with the Spanish National Orchestra under David Afkham, alongside Lise Lindström and Martin Winkler. I’ll also get to return to two incredible works — Dvořák’s Stabat Mater and Franck’s Les Béatitudes.
On the opera stage, I’m especially looking forward to singing Marie in Wozzeck and the Mother in Hänsel und Gretel. Both roles feel like they’re arriving at exactly the right moment in my career — and I couldn’t be more excited.
